The house is set in 20 acres of the best fertile Southland farmland with three acres in garden and another one acre utilised for the growing of Paeonies for commercial cut flowers. On the remaining pastures sheep and lambs graze. Often there is one of John’s racehorses home spelling and over the summer season the show team of Stud Simmental Cattle are home to graze. Tudor Park accommodation is comfortable and private “the best beds we have slept in New Zealand” is a frequent comment from guests. There are three rooms available with private facilities (one includes a bath as well as a shower). Dinner with your hosts is available by arrangement and includes home grown and local foods.
